Question about damage taking for initiate class

We all know that 4th job for initiate, both white wizard and archsage, have the skill energy shield.
I was wondering whether energy shield reduces the damage taken first or does armor reduction come first.

mana shield always comes first unless triggered to be otherwise then whatever damage is left is reduced by armor which in truth is better for your hp but not as good for your mana

I'm confused, what exactly are you asking for again?

If it's about manashield taking precedence in the calc, then yeah, afaik, it goes like that.
